Wales – Plas Y Brenin 2014

Pleasurewood Hills ~ Easter 2014 ~

Wild about the Wensum ~ 26th April 2014 ~

The Holt Youth Project for a 2nd consecutive year, were providing ‘Bike Safari Tours’ around Pensthorpe Nature Reserve. This was part of the ‘Wild about the Wensum’ event which is held at Pensthorpe every year. The bike tours were approximately 2 miles long and took around 15-20 minutes to complete. A Special Visit!

The Holt Youth Project recently had a visit from two very special people. Actor John Hurt and his wife Anwen Rees-Myers visited the HYP and had a look at some of the very important work that we offer to Young People and the community. It was a lovely visit and the Young People had their pens and paper at the ready!


Conservation work at Pensthorpe

On Saturday the 1st of March 2014 the Holt Youth Project took a group of Young People to volunteer at Pensthorpe Nature Reserve. Duties included:  Chopping down willow Bonfire Team working Lopping small branches The young people all got stuck into sawing, felling and lopping, eventually burning it all on a big bonfire. They all worked amazingly in a team with everyone doing different jobs.
